We are so thrilled to share a bit of our lives with you! We met in 2007 through a mutual friend in college and immediately bonded over a shared sense of humor. A few years after moving to New York in 2008, we began dating, and have been together for eight years and married for four! Even in the early years of dating, we knew we wanted to be parents. We both love kids and can definitely be found at family events playing on the floor with little ones instead of talking with the other adults. Once our conversation about starting a family became more serious, adoption felt like the perfect route for us. We currently live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and absolutely love our apartment and neighborhood. There are museums, theaters, restaurants, and parks and playgrounds galore!

Our Lives

Our lives together are so full of laughter and love because we genuinely enjoy the same things and are endlessly entertained by each other. We both love theatre, movies, and game nights with close friends. Whenever we can, we’re visiting family to be with our niece, nephews, parents, and siblings. We’re both so lucky to love our careers, and that our jobs allow us the flexibility and time away to rest and be with our favorite people. We are so ready and excited to share our lives with your child, who will be undoubtedly be yet another source of joy and laughter!

Our Family

We are both so lucky to be extremely close to our families. Alan’s parents live in Ohio, and his older sister, brother-in-law, and two nephews (Liam, age 4, and Ethan, age 2) live in Charleston, South Carolina. Eric’s family also lives in Ohio, including parents, two sisters and their spouses, and our niece (Olivia, age 3). As you can probably tell from these photos, our niece and nephews are some of our favorite people! With out family living out of state, we’re doubly lucky to have a New York family of close friends, who provide non-stop love, support, and humor.

Final Thoughts

“We’re so grateful to be able to give you a small look into our lives, and we sincerely hope to have the opportunity to get to know you as well! We couldn’t be more excited to start our family with your help.”

- Eric & Alan

Hi there. We met on Valentine's Day in 2009 (easy to remember!). By our third date we knew there was no going back. Being a closet romantic, Carl proposed in Paris in January 2011 and we were married that July. Even though we were told we would likely not get pregnant, we welcomed our son Wyatt into the family in August 2012 (all 10.5 lbs. of him). And life has been an amazing roller coaster ever since! They say opposites attract, and you can truly see that with us, but that just means there is so much more we can show our child(ren). We easily do agree on the important things: values, education, work/life balance —and we embrace that parenting and being a family is always a beautiful work in progress. We now want to grow our family through adoption, like we always thought we would.

Our Lives

Our lives are a welcomed adventure. We work, we play, we make time for family, we make time for ourselves. Sunday’s at the farmer’s market, summer days in the pool, trips to explore the East Coast, taking the pup to the dog park. We love the ebb and flow between fun packed days and cozy ones with no plan, where we don’t even leave the house. Time with our family and our fantastic circle of friends (who are family too!) make for the best days.

Our Family

Wyatt rounds out our family of three. He is a fearless explorer and creative thinker. He is excited to be a big brother, always getting ready for “my baby”. We often talk with him about adoption. Our house “family” also includes Huck the dog, Raphael the fish, and the 6 chickens (all named by Wyatt). Carl’s family lives nearby and Andrea’s family is still New England-based. Holidays are spent with family and friends; Andrea now makes two turkeys for Thanksgiving! Both of us have had lifelong friends and ones made along the way, and they all enrich our lives.

Final Thoughts

“We are honored to welcome a new child into our family through the gift of adoption. We are coming into this with open arms and open minds, just like raising our own son, to see what beautiful things it can teach us.”

-Andrea & Carl

We are thrilled by the prospect of becoming parents and can't wait to welcome a child into our home where we hope to provide as much love, nurturance and encouragement as possible. We have met in 2014 over our shared love of books and food and have been laughing and eating ever since. We live with our dog, Iggy, in a roomy and comfortable apartment in Riverdale with tons of families with kids, parks, and trees – we are also nearby a terrific public school.

Our Lives and Family

We love to spend time outside walking with our puppy, Iggy. We live within walking distance of three parks and playgrounds where kids play on slides or swings, and when they are older, join sports teams. At home, we tend to spend time in the kitchen preparing food and talking and laughing. To wind down, we either read or watch shows.

Final Thoughts

“We are both quite close to our families, spending holidays, vacations and weekends with them. Our daughter or son would know the love of an extended family including grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins providing support, comfort and belonging.”

-Andrew & Carolyn

If you are reading this we would like to thank you for considering us and for your role in our journey to parenthood. Becoming parents was a goal that both of us shared and discussed at our first date almost 12 years ago. After meeting online, we dated for six months prior to getting our first apartment together and then we were married in 2015 in a ceremony conducted by Andrew's father (a retired Episcopal Priest) and surrounded by our friends and family. Our Great Dane "Butch" Etta walked us down the aisle and insisted on joining us on stage. Andrew grew up in Texas and Colorado with his amazing parents and is the youngest of six kids. Although he works incredibly hard, family is and always will be a priority. Andrew is grounded, patient, and always looking for betterment for his family. He is also fun, sarcastic and incredibly generous to everyone he loves. While John is whimsical, creative, and an eternal optimist always looking for the good in situations. John grew up in a loving family in the Ozark mountains of Northern Arkansas. He has one older brother and is very close to his family although separated by distance.

Fun Fact
John moved to NYC two days after graduating from college in Arkansas; he had no job, enough money for two months and a dream. He also has an unnatural obsession with Nachos and could eat them for every meal if it were acceptable.

Our Lives

For the past 10 years, we have shared our time between the NYC area and our weekend home in Pennsylvania. As we got further along in our adoption journey, we decided to consolidate our lifestyle for our growing family. We sold both our apartments and weekend house and bought a large family home and farm in central New Jersey. We envision our children playing in the fields, fishing in the pond, hiking in the forest, swimming in the pool and having a space to call their own. Education is also immensely important to us, and we have selected our new location with that in mind. It has some of the best public schools in the state. We cannot wait to watch our child grow and learn.

Our Family

Family is so important to us, although our families are not close in distance they are a huge part of our lives. Andrew's parents live in Colorado, and we visit them several times a year and have weekly phone calls. John's family is in Arkansas, and we visit yearly and try to meet up in Michigan or Arizona where we can also visit with Aunts, Uncles, and Grand Parents. John and his bother are very close and speak on the phone a couple of times a week. We also consider our close friends as our selected family, and all are very excited for us to become parents.

Final Thoughts

“Words cannot begin to express our gratitude for the gift of parenthood available to us through open adoption. We already love this child with all our hearts and cannot wait to become his or her dads and share this journey with you, their birth family.”

-Andrew & John

Hi there! Thank you for choosing to look at our profile and considering us as a possible adoptive family for your child. We are Andrew and Renee and have been happily married for five years, but we have been sharing our lives together since a little after we met after graduating from college. We both grew up in Queens and now live in a spacious Kew Gardens apartment, that we purchased 4 years ago, that has access to a lush backyard, grilling area and game room. We have a kitty named Vida who we found while living on our old street back in Brooklyn. She loves cuddling on laps, chasing string and sleeping in the sun spots that dapple our apartment during the day. Our apartment is right next to Forest Park, in Queens, where we go bike riding, skateboarding, roller skating, riding the carousel and occasionally horseback riding. Our parents all live close by to us and are very excited to take on grandparent duties and help with the raising of a child. Starting a family is something that we've always dreamed of doing, and given the opportunity, we would provide your child a home filled with love, support and comfort so that they can grow into a beautiful person with a healthy mind and a caring heart.

Our Lives

If there is one thing that is a constant in our lives, it is that there's always laughter in our home. We are always singing made up parody songs in the kitchen when cooking dinner together, performing ridiculous impressions in our living room and just being silly whenever the mood strikes for the joy of seeing a smile grow on each other’s face.

We love to go camping in Upstate New York and in Connecticut several times a year with friends of ours, where we cook outdoors, hike, swim, explore nature, sit by the fire and tell stories and just enjoy getting away from the hecticness of city life.

Having both grown up in New York, we also never take for granted how special this city is and we try to take advantage of all that it has to offer. We visit museums, go to music concerts, restaurants and free outdoor events whenever possible. We especially love doing karaoke with friends in the city. Ain't no shame in the karaoke game.

Given the opportunity, we would love to share our world with a child and take them on all the adventures that we go on.

Our Family

We are so thankful that there is no shortage of supportive and loving family in our world. We have very close relationships with all our parents, siblings, aunts and uncles, as well as all our cousins and all their children. We are very fortunate that most of our family live close by and we are able to see them quite often. We get together for holidays, family dinners, go out for brunches and have barbecues in the backyard when the weather is nice. Our newest addition to the family is a newborn baby girl that Renee's cousin recently started fostering. The whole family has been so excited to get to know this sweet little girl and to see their relationship grow and how happy they are. We know how lucky we are to be a part of the loving and giving family that we are connected to and they want nothing more than to share their love and support with you and your child.

Final Thoughts

“Thank you again for taking the time to get to know us and our family. We would be so happy and honored to start this journey of adoption with you and your child. Were you to choose us, please know that your child’s life would be filled with constant support, comfort, laughter, many grandparents and family, access to good schools, bedtime stories, playtime in the park, a multitude of opportunities in life and the security of always knowing they will be loved by many people who want to see them succeed and become whatever they want to be in this world.”

Meet Angela & Oscar!

We met almost five years ago at a mutual friend’s Christmas party and been married for a little over four years. We are originally from Colombia; Oscar has been in the US for seventeen years and Angela for a little over five years. Both of our parents live in Colombia, but Angela’s mother is planning to come live in the US within the next few years. We have always wanted to have children and start a family together and we are very excited to be growing our family through adoption.

Meet Anthony & Kevin!

We are looking to adopt a child that we can help raise with much love. We met online in 2010, and we bonded over our love of cuisine. As we were getting to know each other, we ate at a new restaurant every week around New York. From very early on we talked about adoption, and we saw that as a possibility in our future. We live in Queens with our cat named Lil’ Poundcake. Anthony is from a big family. He grew up in a small town in Indiana, and both of us go back to visit every year. Kevin is from a smaller family in California which they come to visit us every year.  We both want to read to our child every night, take them to museums, and to see the world.

Hobbies
Video games, reading, and writing

Fun Fact
I was born in Los Angeles, but mother made it a point to take me on trips to Guatemala when I was a child, so I could meet my extended family, learn about my Spanish heritage, and try authentic Mayan-made tortillas.

Our Lives

During summer nights we love going on picnics in Astoria Park with friends, pie-making parties, and brunch every Sunday. When it’s cold, we stay indoors and cook dinner together, cuddle up with our cat, and watch movies.  We love exploring the city and trying new things such as booking cooking classes of food we’ve never made before. We are huge fans of Broadway, so we try to see a show whenever we can. Anthony has a growing vinyl collection, and Kevin collects video games.

We take two trips each year, one trip to an American city, and another abroad.

Our Family

Kevin - My family emigrated from Guatemala. I was raised an only child by my mother, aunt, uncle, and grandmother. My aunt had a daughter whom I consider to be my little sister. I learned from them that raising a child is a job for a group of people who have nothing but love to give.

Anthony - I grew up the second oldest of six kids, many of whom have their own children now. I love spending time with them when I visit. Even though they don’t live in New York City, I try to plan out our vacations to see the kids a few times a year.

Final Thoughts

“Thank you for taking the time to read about us. We will provide this child with so much love and attention. Our families are looking forward to the day when they can welcome a new member of the family. Your child will not only have us two raising him/her but the rest of our families as well. We understand this is a difficult decision for you to make, so we want to do anything possible to ease your concerns. If you have any questions, we’d love to answer them. We’re so excited to adopt a child and share this journey with you.”

Meet Antonis & Patrick!

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We had an instant connection given our similar sense of humor, life goals, and emphasis on family. Antonis is originally from Cyprus (and speaks Greek) and has lived in the U.S. for 20 years. Patrick is from South Carolina (and also speaks Spanish) and has lived in NYC for almost 10 years. We enjoy living in Astoria because of its ethnic diversity, family neighborhoods, and of course the delicious Greek food. Meet Benita & Elyssa!

We are a loving and creative couple living in Brooklyn, NY. We met and fell for each other so hard that for a minute Benita forgot where her apartment building was and we drove around the neighborhood in circles! Fast forward five years, and we are married and sharing a happy life along with our two cats,
Tucker and Moo.

We are both social workers who adore children. Between the two of us we have worked with children and families for a total of 32 years! In our free time, we love seeing friends, cooking (and eating) delicious meals and making each other laugh.

When it comes to starting a family, adoption feels like the clear path for us, as we know that the definition of family is very simply the people you love, and the people who love you back.

Our Lives

We look forward to having a child at the center of our lives who we will cuddle and kiss and support for a lifetime in becoming the person that they are meant to be. We feel lucky to have the best of both worlds: we live in a diverse neighborhood, in a house with a backyard but are also walking distance to stores, playgrounds and city life. Benita was a preschool teacher and the child will hear lots of singing and will dance around the living room to music, play make- believe and make art projects with glitter, glue, and paint. When they are little, there will be bedtime stories every night, some of them made up with themselves as the main character. With Elyssa, the child will measure flour and sugar for cookies and will lick the spoon! They will play catch and run races in our backyard and look for fireflies on summer evenings.

Our Family

Our family and friends are all excited and ready to embrace the newest member of our family. We are very close with Benita’s parents, who live in Manhattan. They love parks, museums, and shows and will provide exciting family adventures. Elyssa’s parents, with spouses, will be frequent grandparent visitors. A total of 6 grandparents in all! There’s Elyssa’s stepbrother, and generations of cousins as well. We have close friends we consider family, to become “aunties” and “uncles.” They will show love, support and loyalty to our child. We both grew up with family and friends who always asked lots of questions, offering wisdom and ideas. Our child will always have a listening adult for their ideas and stories.

Final Thoughts

“We would like to meet you and hear more about what you are looking for from us. We are sending good wishes, caring and compassion your way during this time of such difficult decisions. We hope that you will find the path that feels right for you and your child. If you think we could be part of your adoption plan we would be honored. We would work hard every single day to put your mind at ease knowing that this child is deeply loved and cared for.”

Our day begins around 7am with June singing “Let It Go” from Frozen. Everyone gets up, gets dressed, and by 9am June is out the door with one of us on her way to daycare (‘til noon three days a week; 3:30 the other two). During this time, Colleen and Bill are able to have a few hours of uninterrupted work. Afternoons are for family activities like swimming lessons and trips to the playground and library. Then we prep dinner, give June a bath, and put her to bed around 7pm. After that we get some quiet time where we can talk, enjoy a little Netflix, and do a little more work. On weekends we get to cozy up in our apartment; work on the NYT crossword puzzle; and enjoy a family walk and pancake breakfast after attending church at St Joseph’s of Greenwich Village.

Our Family

Our whole family is so excited to continue to grow through adoption. Our daughter June is a funny, loving and playful two-year-old who we know will make an amazing older sister. We’re close (both literally and figuratively) to both sets of our parents – they live in Connecticut and New Jersey – and we visit them quite often. Our mothers are both retired and enjoy joining us in NY on our afternoon adventures. Colleen’s mom comes in most Thursday afternoons to take June to the library. Bill’s mom visits every few weeks. They both look forward to adding another little one to their adventure crew. Both of our sisters live within ten minutes of us and we see them about once a week. They love to spend time with June and will babysit for us as well. We feel so grateful to have such a strong support system and parents to whom we often look to as examples of how to parent and raise our child(ren). Everyone is excited about being able to love another child.

Final Thoughts

“Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to introduce our family to you! We send you all of our respect, prayers and luck with this challenging decision. We love being parents more than anything in the world, and if we are blessed enough to be considered as your baby’s adoptive parents, we vow to give him/her a loving, safe and fun home and to work alongside you however best we can. Thank you again for taking the time to read this!”

- Bill and Colleen

We live on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, close to Central Park, museums, fun restaurants and the Central Park Zoo.  We love spending time in the park with our French bulldog, Chauncey, to take in the beautiful scenery and fresh air.  Our building has many young, growing families.

Kevin is a terrific baker and cook.  Homemade family dinners are a staple for us every night, especially on Sundays, when we cook a large meal and homemade dessert (that will last the week) and invite friends to join.  We love to engage in discussions about the previous week and the week ahead of us.

Our Family

Our families reside in Rockland County, NY, just a short ride out of the city within the Hudson Valley region.  We make regular trips, at least twice a month, to visit parents, nieces and nephews, and our many cousins. We both come from large, loving families.  Our brothers and sisters now have families and children of their own.

It's wonderful to have close relationships with each of them and enjoy holidays and regular family vacations together.  As with all large families, we spend much of our time together happily celebrating birthdays, graduations, weddings and other special occasions.

Final Thoughts

“We have dreamed of being parents for a long time.  We so look forward to having a child of our own to nurture, guide, and provide the unconditional love we've become accustomed to from our own parents.”

We are Bridget and Eric. We met on 7/7/07 (the luckiest day of the decade!) at a wedding. We were married in 2014, bought our apartment in 2015 and are excited to expand our family through adoption. We live in Jackson Heights, Queens with our two cats, Archie and Daphne. Eric’s mom, aunt, and cousins live a few hours away in Massachusetts and we are sure to visit throughout the year. Bridget’s mom lives just across the east river in Manhattan and we spend time together regularly on the weekends. Bridget’s aunt, uncle, and cousins (and their many kids) live on Long Island and we enjoy spending time together in her aunt’s backyard. Eric’s sister lives in Belgium with her husband and two young children who we Skype with regularly and visit with at least once a year. Both of our families are thrilled to welcome a new baby into the family!

Our Lives

While we love our quiet time at home, we also appreciate and like to take advantage of everything the city has to offer. We enjoy trying new restaurants, visiting museums and biking, picnicking and throwing a Frisbee at the park. Our lives are very full and the only thing that would make them better would be having a child to share it all with. We live close to the New York Hall of Science and the Queens Zoo and imagine these being favorite weekend destinations. Eric enjoys snowboarding and can’t wait to teach his son or daughter. We have so much love to share and promise to give your child a home full of joy and fun.

Our Family

Our family and friends are very important to us and they are certain to be involved in our life events both big and small. We enjoy gathering for meals during the holidays, having BBQ’s in the summer and celebrating important milestones together. We can’t wait to watch our child play, explore and grow with the other young children in our family and everyone is beyond thrilled to welcome him/her into our family.

Final Thoughts

“Thank you so much for taking the time to read about us and getting to know us a little bit. We would love to meet you and we would be honored if you chose us to be the parents for your child.”

We’re Richard and Cerrone! We’ve been a couple since 2001 and were married in 2011 –on the first day Same Sex couples were allowed to get married in New York City! We’re an interracial couple, Cerrone is Black and Richard is a first generation mix of Chinese and Cambodian, so we’ve learned to appreciate and enjoy learning about diverse cultures. We can’t wait to share the beauty of diversity with a child. Although both of us were raised in New York, we love to travel and see the world as much as possible, striving to get out of our comfort zones and explore a new part of the world at least once a year. We’ve been told time and again that we’d make kind and loving parents and all of our family and friends are as excited as can be that we’re going to expand our family with our first child.

Our Lives

Both of us have master’s degrees and we strongly believe in the value of education and in pursuing your passions to the best of your ability. That’s why when we’re not working on our careers, we are pursuing passion projects –Cerrone is building a nonprofit to help marginalized people and Richard is working on learning his third language. We can’t wait to nurture a similar love of learning in our child by exploring different foods, cultures, and experiences throughout the city, and even the world, with them. When we’re not busy broadening our horizons, we dream of taking our child to go spend time with family, watching them play with our nieces and nephews, telling them stories, or just relaxing in one of the nearby parks.

Our Family

All of our immediate family live within a 30-minute drive from us, making them key parts of our lives. Our closest family members are Vutha and Angie, who are the parents of 2 children –the youngest of which is Cerrone’s Godson -and Richie’s sister Tiara, who has 3 young children. Additionally, Cerrone’s mom lives in New Rochelle, his aunt and his grandmother live in queens, and Richards parents live in Brooklyn. We’re a tight knit family who depend on each other for advice, support, and the occasional delicious home cooked meal!

In Conclusion

“Thanks so much for taking time to get to know us a little better. We can't wait to learn more about you as we embark on this journey of life and love.”

Meet Chotsani!

I’m a single woman.

I want to adopt because I’ve always wanted my own family, and to have children. I thought I needed to wait until marriage to have a child. I am ready now to share my love, affection and generosity with a child. I love being surrounded by friends and family, and try to bring positivity to them, live a balanced life, have fun, relax, and stay grounded.

My family and friends are very happy that I will soon become a parent. I have been talking about it for years. They are ready to pitch in and babysit. Since most of them are parents, it means a lot to me that they are so supportive of me and have confidence in my ability to parent.

Thank you for reading my profile, and considering me to raise your child. I look forward to adding you both to my family.

About Chotsani

Job Description
Lawyer/ Project Manager

Hobbies
Reading, Yoga, Coloring, Cooking, and Baking

Fun Fact
I really like to cook, mostly American dishes, Italian, and some Caribbean foods, as well as bake brownies. My favorite foods to eat at restaurants however, are Mediterranean, Indian and Thai. These are the types of food I find most difficult to cook, so I leave it to the experts.

I also like going to sports games to feel the energy of the crowd, or watching them on television in a group setting.

I also like to travel.

My Life

Family connections are important to me. A child will be loved unconditionally, nurtured, protected, and empowered. As they enjoy their childhood filled with laughs and giggles, I want them to feel safe, and look forward to teaching them at home before they start school. I look forward to exposing them to and seeing the world through their eyes. During recent trips to Botanical Gardens and the Aquarium with friends and family, I wondered what it would be like to see my child’s reaction to the flowers, trees and animals. I can’t wait to go back with my son or daughter.

My Family

My immediate family is my mom, me and my sister. My extended family is large on my paternal grandmother’s, paternal grandfather’s, and maternal grandfather’s sides. Each group has family gatherings 1+ times a year. Other important people in my life: My godson, Elijah, is 7. His mom, Amatullah is my best friend since 6th grade. I’ve been friends with Rabiya since we went to law school together. Crystal and Ian, and I have known each other since undergrad. Gerianne started out as my 7th and 8th grade teacher, we now go to the beach and attend cultural events together.

Final Thoughts

“Thank you for considering me to raise your child. I do not take your decision lightly and would be blessed by your decision. I am looking forward to rocking him or her to sleep, feeding and playing with him or her, bonding with him or her, and providing a forever home.”
