Michele Giordano, EVP/Chief program Officer
Michele Giordano joined Spence-Chapin in 2016 and serves as Executive Vice President/Chief Program Officer. Michele has over 15 years of nonprofit management and social entrepreneurship experience. Prior to Spence-Chapin, Michele was the Executive Director at Choices in Childbirth, an organization aimed at advancing women’s health by supporting families from pregnancy to early parenthood. Under her leadership, Michele re-branded the organization and secured the first national grant from the Kellogg Foundation. Prior to that, Michele served as the Director of Global Operations for RockCorps, a pro-social media company that connects corporate partners with youth interested in service and live music events. At RockCorps, Michele led the company’s growth from a start-up into a global company with over 150 staff, 100,000 volunteers and in partnership with brands such as Orange, Diageo and Sony Ericsson.
Michele received a bachelor’s in Women’s Studies from Rutgers University and a master’s in Science of Social Work from Columbia University.
