Kamen, Age 8, Bulgaria
We are looking for a loving, permanent family for an adorable young boy named Kamen. Since the age of 3, Kamen has resided at a children’s home in Bulgaria. Born in March of 2011, he is now 8 years old. He really needs his forever family.
Kamen is described by his caregivers as a cheerful and friendly little boy. He enjoys listening to children’s songs and poems and playing with his toys. He loves to push his stroller of dolls and does well playing with other kids and adults.
Kamen has been diagnosed with a mild form of Cerebral Palsy called Quadriparetic Syndrome. His motor function is well developed for his age and he is able to move about freely. He can walk and run without help and climbs up and down stairs holding a support.
While Kamen’s speech and vocabulary are not yet developed, he is able to understand and react to commands given to him. In order to support his development, Kamen attends a school for special education where he receives individualized tutoring. He is just nearing the end of first grade, which he really enjoyed! Kamen’s caregivers report that with continued support and the love and encouragement that comes from having his own family, Kamen will have the potential for great success.
Kamen is ready to be matched with his forever family immediately! Pictures and videos of Kamen can be viewed on our password protected page. To learn more about Kamen, contact our Adoption Team at 212-400-8150 or email us at email@example.com.
