Hello, I am Justin & Karina!
Hi, we're Karina and Justin, two high school teachers from New Jersey.
We met at work nine years ago, and whether it's watching a play, making breakfast, or exploring a new city, we've been together ever since. We love our families, friends, dog, kids in our classes, and each other, but we are more than ready to share that love with a child of our own. We've been blessed by Buddhist monks and been prayed upon by the Pope in St. Peter's square. And as beautiful as those memories are, there've also been some hard times. Our battles with infertility have shown us that ultimately our dream to become parents would be made reality because of adoption. Despite all we've been through, we're confident that the wonders we have seen will lose their luster, and the hardships we've endured will be worthwhile, the day we meet our child.

I play guitar and hockey, enjoy taking our dog to the park, running, ironing, and I am learning how to use a sewing machine.
For the school talent show last year, I modified the lyrics to "Heathens" by Twenty One Pilots and then sang and rapped it as the opening act for the talent show. I didn't want the kids to be self-conscious when it was their turn, and afterwards, that night no one was worried about sounding worse than me.

I love to read books, make meals from scratch, travel the world, go to the beach, crochet, and spend time with my family and friends
I never leave home without wearing my necklace. On it are many special charms, but two in particular: a piece of the burning bush that God spoke to Moses through, or at least that's what the Egyptian tour guide told my grandmother, and a charm given to me by my other grandma by the monk who saved her life before helping her on her path to becoming a Buddhist nun.
A big part of our lives revolves around the fact that we are teachers and we are fortunate enough to work together in the same school, teaching the same subject. Our kids know that we are hoping to adopt, and the excitement they feel for us has added to our own anticipation in an incredible way.
When we are at home we love to spend time with our dog Milo. He loves that Karina is always cooking army sized portions of everything, and even though Justin can eat a whole tray of lasagna, there is always something special set aside for puppy. We also spend a lot of time at the park a few blocks away. Milo is getting old, so we like to keep him active, and those Pokémon aren't going to catch themselves.
We are ready to share in our adventures with our child - to bake cookies and homemade pizzas, to take him or her on the rides at the boardwalk, to spend family vacations in Maine like Karina did growing up, to fly down to Florida to go to Disney World with Justin's family, to travel the world, to read books to them every night, and make sure they know they are loved every second of every day.
We are lucky to live so close to our families - both of which are within a ten-minute drive of our home.
Our nieces and nephew don't have any cousins (besides Milo) yet, and we can't wait to watch them all grow together since we are both so close to our own siblings and cousins. Karina's two brothers are looking forward to teaching our child how to play video games and to enjoy a big pancake breakfast at the diner. Justin's brother and sister will share their love of all things Disney and the New York Rangers. All the grandparents are ready to love on another baby- whether it be feeding them all the favorite Asian and Italian foods they fed their own kids growing up or decking our baby out in any of the hundreds of outfits that will most assuredly be gifted. And as a whole - both families couldn't be more excited.
From the bottoms of our hearts, we thank you for taking the time to look at our profile. We hope that our words and photos were able to give you a good look at the type of life we have created and hope to share with a child. We look forward to the day that we can come together in a match meeting. Until then, you will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
