Parenting Teens: Blame the Brain

  • Spence-Chapin 410 E 92nd St New York, NY, 10128 United States (map)

Having a hard time connecting with your tween or teen? In this 3-part workshop series, we’ll offer guidance on how to improve your relationship and communication with your child. We’ll talk about how to tell the difference between typical moodiness and problematic behaviors. You’ll leave with tools to help your teen become independent, while still providing parental support and nurturing your relationship.

During this first workshop we’ll provide a comprehensive foundation of adolescent physical, cognitive, and social emotional development focusing on the brain. You’ll gain insight into why teens do what they do, understand how to build trust, and feel more confident in your decision making.

Parents with children of any age are welcome to attend. Attendance to all 3 workshops is not required, but encouraged. Light refreshments will be served.
