International Adoption Training: Medical Issues, Behavior Management and Identity

This training will explore multiple facets of international adoptive parenting.

We will begin the day with a workshop presented by Dr. Paul Lee and Dr. George Rogu, medical specialists in international adoption and founders of From 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM Drs. Lee and Rogu will present on common medical needs for internationally adopted children and will discuss follow-up care once your child is home. Then we will explore discipline and behavior management practices for children who have experienced pre-adoption traumas. Finally we will conclude the day with a workshop on transracial parenting and discussion of the crucial role that parents play in helping their children develop a healthy identity that incorporates all aspects of who they are.

This FREE training is open both to pre-adopt families who are seeking to adopt a child internationally and to families who are already parenting a child adopted internationally.
