Hello, we are Ereshnee & Paul!
We are Paul and Ereshnee. We met online in 2011 and soon realized that we wanted to spend our lives together. We live in a little cabin in a lake community in the Hudson River Valley with our dog, Lucy, and several species of wildlife like deer. Ereshnee is originally from South Africa. We visit South Africa once a year. Paul is originally from New Jersey but moved to New York when he started college. We spend most holidays and part of the summer with Paul’s family. We talked about parenthood on our first date, and even though we were not sure where our date would lead, we were both looking forward to parenting someday. We weren’t able to extend our family through traditional avenues but are grateful to be able to do so through adoption. We are so excited about this journey and a new chapter in our life!

When she is not cooking a new international cuisine, Ereshnee is reading about world affairs. Paul is a working musician and an enthusiastic NY Giants fan. As a couple, we enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, and entertaining in our home. We appreciate our peaceful neighborhood but also spend lots of time in the city. We’re so excited about bringing a child into our lives. We look forward to everything–the sleepless nights, bedtime stories, hugs, tantrums, learning together and celebrating every milestone. Your child will be loved unconditionally and will always know that you gave us this story with love and courage.
We are very close to our extended family and in constant contact. We Skype with Ereshnee’s mum, and two brothers’ families weekly. When we visit South Africa, it is a whirlwind of family, food and fun. Our time with Paul’s family includes lots of movies and activities with our nieces and nephew: We are the “fun” uncle and aunt. Our friends are our chosen family and have been our support in difficult times. Everyone in our life is aware of our journey to completing our family and is looking forward to a new addition in their lives.
We will love our child unconditionally and will celebrate his/her smile or his/her crinkling nose, knowing that you are with us. We are eternally grateful for his/her birth family’s selfless choice and the gift of parenting that they have given us.
