Ana Maria Leon Gomez, LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor with 25 years of experience specializing in the assessment and treatment of ADHD, learning disabilities, and early childhood developmental issues. Ana Maria is Spanish bilingual and has treated children and families through a private practice and in schools. Ana Maria has a passion for working with children and families and has counseled many clients on treatment and management of ADHD, learning disabilities, adoption-related issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, and the effects of immigration. Ana Maria is trained in providing cognitive behavioral therapy, dyadic developmental psychotherapy, and one of only a few therapists certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy in Manhattan.
Beth Friedberg, LCSW is a social worker with over 20 years of experience working with children and families. Beth focuses on helping parents and kids thrive. She offers counseling for kids and parents as well as coaching specifically for parents. Parents typically come to Beth for help with establishing routines, navigating open adoption, talking about adoption, developing effective discipline techniques, or navigating co-parenting after a divorce. Beth offers parent coaching sessions in-person or over the phone on a variety of issues in an accepting, nonjudgmental environment. Beth is trained in theraplay, dyadic developmental psychotherapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy.
