With a desire to offer more convenient and comprehensive services to residents of Long Island, Spence-Chapin opened its first satellite office in 1991. Today, staff at our Hauppauge location provides counseling to pregnant women; and adoption social workers conduct information meetings for prospective parents interested in adoption in addition to homestudy groups. This office has developed strong ties and referral links with health care and social service providers throughout Long Island. The Adoption Resource Center offers post-adoption support to birth parents and adoptive families, plus seminars and workshops—open to all Long Island families.

From Western North Shore

LIE between Exits 33-57

  • Take Long Island Expressway East to Exit 57 - Veterans Hwy (Rt 454).
  • Take service road to the SECOND traffic light - Veterans Hwy.
  • At Veteran's Highway turn LEFT.
  • Go under the LIE and proceed to the THIRD LIGHT at SPARTAN LANE.
  • Take a right onto Spartan Lane and then a quick right into the CROSSROADS CORPORATE CENTER.
  • When you turn in you will be facing our building, #1363
  • Go left and then around to the back of the building. The office is at the far end of the back of the building. The door is marked #40.

Northern State Pkwy

  • Take Northern State East to Sunken Meadow / Sagtikos Pkwy South.
  • Take Sagtikos one exit to Exit S1E = LIE (495) East.
  • Take Long Island Expressway East to Exit 57 = Veterans Hwy (Rt 454).
  • Follow the Western North Shore Directions.
From Eastern North Shore

LIE between Exits 58-73

  • Take Long Island Expressway West to Exit 57 = Veterans Hwy (Rt 454).
  • At Veteran's Highway turn RIGHT.
  • Proceed to the SECOND LIGHT at SPARTAN LANE.

Southern State Exit 13-41 - Bay Shore Road

  • Take Southern State East to Exit 41A North - Sagtikos Pkwy (This is only Left Exit off the Southern State Pkwy.
  • Take Sagtikos Pkwy North to Exit S1E - LIE (495) East.
  • Take Long Island Expressway East to Exit 57 - Veterans Hwy (Rt 454).
  • Follow the Western North Shore directions above.
